Every owner dreams of seeing their ride up on stage in front of millions of people, at one of the nation’s biggest auto events. One of our readers, Bob — a long time racer and Camaro advocate — got to see his dream come true with his Continental Tire Camaro 1LE show car this past year at SEMA.

Read what he had to say about his beautiful machine:

How did you acquire your ride?

I put a SEMA proposal together to get an early build 1LE for Chevrolet, then GM judged the best of several entry ideas and I won.

What drew you in when you bought it?

I’ve been racing sportscars for 25 years, and cars like the Camaro 1LE come along once in a great while. Now there’s the new Z/28, and it’s awesome. With all the mods I did my car it’s very close to the Z.

Does it have a name?

Chevrolet Performance Camaro 1LE.

What do you feel like when you drive it?

When I drive this car it’s like driving a full blown race car on the street.

What have you done to make it a bolder ride?

The car was built by myself at Bob Fehan Motorsports, and I built some lightweight parts out of carbon fiber to make it several pounds lighter. I also added Recaro seats, RPM roll cage, Borla headers and exhaust, Chevrolet performance engine parts, Brembo, Competition brakes, K&N filters, auto meter gages and much more.
